Alex Schraier Grinstein

Early in my career in Argentina, I gained experience in a variety of clinical settings,  including a hospital adolescent unit, a leading addiction treatment clinic, a center  specializing in adult, couple, and family therapy, and private practice. These  experiences provided a strong clinical foundation for working with people facing a wide  range of emotional challenges.

Then, living in New York City for more than 20 years gave me the opportunity to work  with people from around the world, representing many different cultures, backgrounds,  and life experiences. During that time, I worked with adolescents, families, and adults  from a wide range of cultural, professional, and personal backgrounds.

Throughout my career, I have supported clients navigating relationship difficulties, life  transitions, parenting challenges, trauma, complex family dynamics, eating disorders,  addictions, questions related to gender and professional identity, as well as anxiety and  depression.

Today, I dedicate myself exclusively to private practice, working primarily with  adolescents and adults from international backgrounds living in Barcelona and  throughout Spain, as well as with people from Spain.

After nearly 30 years of clinical experience, my work continues to be grounded in  psychoanalytic thinking and expressed through a psychodynamic approach to  psychotherapy, while remaining collaborative, thoughtful, and responsive to each  person’s unique experiences, needs, and goals.

I am continually humbled by the trust my patients place in me and grateful for the  opportunity to grow alongside them, both professionally and personally.
